Easter Basket Ideas

With my daughter still under one and me still on maternity leave, we are saving our pennies and not embracing the easter goodies for her this year. I have, however, compiled a collection of ideas below. Some we use and love and some would be new to us
We already have this carrot garden. It is 100% her favourite toy right now, and I can’t recommend it enough. She happily sits and pulls all the carrots out over and over again.
I’ve purchased this ready for Éowyn’s first birthday. The company, Orange Tree Toys, has a beautiful spring garden range.
We love being outside so items like chalk are the perfect gift to encourage outdoor exploring. I can’t wait until Éowyn is old enough to decorate our outdoor spaces with her doodles.
In my experience, little ones want to be doing, and “helping” with most tasks. I am developing a great love for gardening as I work to create beautiful outdoor spaces. I hope that Éowyn also develops that love.
I remember gathering flowers as a child and pressing them in a similar flower press. I then used the dried flowers in my artistic creations. Of course, I am happy to press the flowers Éowyn collects until she can do so independently. This is a perfect gift for Spring as flowers are starting to bloom.
Éowyn has a Maileg princess mouse. The craftsmanship that goes into these mice is impressive. They are more of an investment. I plan to slowly build up our collection for my daughter to play with for many years.
Books: Hello Spring, Busy Spring, Poppy and Sam’s Easter Egg Hunt, Peter’s First Easter, and Spot’s First Easter.
If you know me, you’re aware of my love of books. Our library is missing Spring-themed books. I’ve had a quick browse and the ones that stand out to me as great additions to our library are:
